Account information

Account Payment

If you used a credit card to sign up for your account we will bill you yearly, or monthly if you specified it.

If your credit card is declined you will be sent an e-mail notice so you can update your details. You may pay your account on-line using the instructions provided in the email. Accounts that remain unpaid 7days after the email may be deactivated. If your account has been deactivated upon payment we will reactivate the site, you will be charged a $20.00 reactivating fee.

Abuse Complaints

Adam Moffett Design has very strict policy about spam and other abuse issues. In most cases we will try to notify you about abuse issues and give you a few hours to respond to the situation. In more severe cases we must disable your account until we reach an understanding.

In all cases the 2nd time we receive abuse complaints about a domain, we will remove dns for that domain and may place your domain on a list of abusive sites, we may also notify any provider that is providing service for an abusive domain that we removed it for cause and may forward information to that provider about the nature of the abuse.

Policy for domains that come under attack:
If your domain comes under attack from an outside network your domain may be removed until the attack subsides. If your site is repeatedly attacked over a long period of time we may ask you to remove the site from the network. In severe cases we may remove a site from the network if we are unable to reach an understanding with the webmaster.

In general the following types of site are subject to attack:

  • warez sites
  • spam sites
  • hate sites

The good news is that business sites and normal content sites almost never come under attack to there is nothing to worry about unless you are involved in some activity that would cause hackers to be upset with you. We do our best to protect our network from this type of activity.

Abuse of servers or services:
You may not in any way use a server for anything but the normal operations of web and mail service. Doing so will result in your account being removed for the network. If you choose to run scripts with your account you may not use more than then amount of resources than would created a noticeable slowdown in web services for other members. We reserve the right to remove any script that is causing down time or slow service. In most cases a solution can be worked out, however you must never start a script that has been removed without permission of Adam Moffett Design, doing so will result in deactivation of your account. Using scripts that may cause harm to other users, the system, or to upgrade bandwidth restrictions will result in deactivation of your account.

The bottom line, be responsible, don't set out to deliberately cause damage and don't do things if you're not sure you are supposed to.

Site Down

If you cannot reach your site take the following steps:

  • Wait about 10 minutes for the site to come back up, sometimes we must take a site down for maintenance etc.
  • Check the message board at http://discus.Adam Moffett Designsolutions.com/ for any server outages.
  • Open a trouble ticket at support@adammoffett.com stating your domain and the error you are receiving when you try to view your site.
  • Wait for the problem to be resolved, know that we are working on a problem as soon as it is discovered. Most problems are solved in a matter of minutes but some take a bit longer to be resolved. You may not receive an answer immediately to emails reporting a server down condition as all of our efforts are directed in solving the issue.
  • If the problem involves you for any reason we will contact you and let you know what needs to be done to restore normal service.
